Kathy has over 20 years of experience in natural resource management including 15 years working internationally with Government, non-profits, and diverse stakeholders to advance catchment management. Her work has focused on building local capacity in catchment management, supporting implementation of catchment projects and applied research. Kathy is experienced in managing multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder projects and has partnered on projects in Australia, The Pacific Islands and the USA. Kathy has worked with WCS-Fiji, NOAA’s Coral Reef and Coastal Zone Management Programs in Hawaii, the University of Hawaii, The Koror State Government in Palau, Yap Community Action Program in Micronesia, the University of Queensland and AGC-Woodward Clyde in Brisbane. She has a PhD in Botany and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science in Environmental Science with Honours from the University of Queensland, Australia.
