21 Oct Resilient Rivers Blueprint launched at the 22nd International Riversymposium
In line with the 22nd International Riversymposium theme of ‘Resilient Rivers’, the IRF launched the Resilient Rivers Blueprint during the opening ceremony of the Symposium.
The Resilient Rivers Blueprint will build on existing integrated river basin and water resource management (IRBM/IWRM) frameworks by identifying the key principals and components for mitigating and adapting to climate change and by showcasing recovery to resilience pathways through regional case studies. The IRF’s goal is to develop a Blueprint which will be applicable to rivers worldwide and inspire a global transformation to resilient rivers. Organisations from around the world are invited to be signatories of the Blueprint.
The founding partners of the Resilient Rivers Blueprint are:
- The International RiverFoundation
- Healthy Land and Water
- Deloitte
- IW:Learn
- The University of Maryland Centre for Environmental Science
We are grateful to our founding partners for joining us on this journey to achieve resilience of our rivers in light of global change!
